Hard Knocks Detroit Lions

Image
(Image Owned By Awful Announcing) Hard Knocks season, I don't even know... All I know is that this season is going to be featuring the Detroit Lions. Let me start here, Hard Knocks is one of my all time favorite shows relating the my favorite sport football. It was a place as a young football fan where I was able to understand and get a glimpse into the everyday life of some of the greats. It was a place where I saw Rex Ryan plan a fight at practice, to most recent seasons Frank Caliendo imitating Jon Gruden during a pre-game speech. We not only were able to see the funnier sides of teams, through every season we were able to learn about new players and old players. We as fans were able to get an understanding of what is actually going on behind closed doors for our favorite football teams. Although in the more recent seasons this narrative has changed with Hard Knocks, we are pulling away from those beloved items. We are pushing into this timeframe of watching Ezekiel Elliot wrapp...

Miami Vices: Can't We All Just Get Along?

Image
(image is owned by skysports.com, we do not own the rights) Nothing better than a little inner squad squabble! And that's exactly what went down last night between Jimmy Butler and head coach Erik Spolestra in the midst of a 118-104 loss to the Golden State Warriors, their second straight. It's not apparent what led to the altercation or what exactly was said but at one point "old head" Udonis Haslem can be seen getting in Jimmy Butler's face and repeatedly letting him know he will f him up. Jimmy has youth on his side but Haslem seems like a guy you don't mess with and definitely the type of fighter who fights dirty aka the Costanza move. Here's a snippet of the quarrel: All-time clipboard throw by Spolestra. Initial instinct tells me that Butler was probably at fault here. You can't look at Spolestra and think this guy is a textbook shit starter. He looks more like a guy at Barnes N Noble who complains to the guy behind him in line that his gift card...

Tyreek Hill is Definitely a Strip Club Guy

Image
(Image is owned by NFL's Instagram, we do not own the rights) In the most outrageous NFL offseason of all-time, arguably the best wide receiver in the NFL is officially a Miami Dolphin. Insanity. Around 9 AM PST I received an alert that Hill was being shopped around and I thought that's random as hell. 3 hours later he gets traded for 5 picks to the Dolphins. I mean forget about the fit on the Dolphins and Tua being lowkey trash, the NFL offseason is ridiculous. This is NBA level stuff in terms of how many guys have changed teams and/or been traded. You absolutely love to see it. Fires me up man. Now as for the blog title, it's a no-brainer. Tyreek when weighing the NY Jets and the Miami Dolphins had to be weighing the quality of strip clubs at some point. New Jersey or Miami? Hmmmm..... tough call. I personally have never been to Miami but you hear tales of the debauchery that ensues down there. And my senses are telling me Tyreek is definitely a cigar in the strip club ...

Padres Spring Training Season Preview

Image
(Image is owned by the Padres official instagram, we do not own the rights) Well. Here we are again Padres fans. After an excruciating end to the 2021 season, the start to the 2022 season is right around the corner. I hate to do this....... But I don't feel good about this team. Now that doesn't automatically mean that I think we're doomed but we need to have a successful start to the year. THAT IS PARAMOUNT. Last year, I think we as fans were on such a high from making the playoffs and winning a wild series for once that we gave this team a ton of leeway. That's the not the feeling I have as a fan anticipating this year at all. The mystique surrounding this team is gone. We played like trash for 3 months last year and blew an incredible lead in the wild card standings to miss the playoffs entirely. And to make matters worse Fernando Tatis Jr. is out for the first 3 months for fracturing his wrist riding a motorcycle in the DR. Cue the black cloud that surrounds t...

Rob Manfred Is TRASH

Image
(Image Owned By Fox News) The relationship between Rob Manfred, Fans, and Team Owners is something that has been talked about a lot lately. This is a direct result of the lockout between the MLB and the MLBPA going into the 2022 season. As an avid baseball fan, I cannot remember how often lockouts have been with other commissioners. Maybe it was something I didn't pay attention to in the past, but under Manfred's leadership it seems to be happening quite often. This shows that there are consistent issues between the MLB and the MLBPA. Personally, I think that Manfred just doesn't care and is a "my way or the highway" kind of guy. Which is interesting, because his predecessor Bud Selig seemed to have a good relationship with the league. I understand that the job of the commissioner is a job without a lot of love, but you need to be able to work with both sides. Manfred seems like the type of guy that looks at something and goes "fuck that" and throws it i...

Khalil Mack Got Traded to the Chargers and I'm in a Glass Case of Emotion

Image
(Image is owned by WallpaperAccess, we do not own the rights) Wow this sucks. In the first move of Ryan Poles regime, the Bears are trading Khalil Mack to the los angeles chargers for a 2022 2nd round pick and a 2023 6th round pick. Gut wrenching. I remember the day I woke up and saw that the Bears had traded for Mack with the Raiders and it was the absolute best. In the peak of his career and just an absolute menace coming off the edge, he was exactly what the Bears needed to be a feared defense and Super Bowl contender again. And all of that was put on display in his first game versus the hated Packers when he went OFF. (Content blocked by NFL weenies so click link on Youtube) I could not believe that the Raiders were willing to get rid of this guy. He was unbelievable. One of the strongest players I've ever watched play as well, literally embarrassing and tossing around other teams starting Tackles like your stupid little brother in the backyard. The way he played embraced wha...

UNC Drinks the Tears of Duke Fans in Coach K's Final Game

Image
(image is owned by the NY Post, we do not own the rights) What is the ultimate F-U in the historic rivalry between Duke and UNC college basketball? Beating Coach K in his final game AT DUKE takes the cake. Holy cow was the stage set. Duke as the #4 team in the country opened up as 11 point favorites over their inner city rival North Carolina. The stage was set. Coach K is going to deliver one final win over North Carolina and ride off into the sunset. 96 of his former players came to see the game firsthand, most expensive ticket in college basketball history, and all of it to crumble under the pressure and hand North Carolina maybe the greatest win in program history. A timeless win. (Image is owned by UNC basketball's instagram, we do not own the rights) It was an absolute thing of beauty. I actually like Coach K to a degree but the whole production of thinking that they would walk in UNC and they would bow at Coach K's feet was so asinine. Honestly how dare you. Duke fans q...

Shocking News! (Not Really) Rodgers Re-signs with Green Bay.... Puke Everywhere

Image
(Image is owned by cbssports, we do not own the rights) And there it is..... after a year long charade and cryptic messaging Aaron Rodgers ultimately elected to re-sign with the Green Bay Packers due to his loyalty to the organization. It had nothing to do with a $200 million dollar with $153 million guaranteed I'm sure. Aaron has time and time again said this whole fiasco wasn't about the money and to sign a contract this small in magnitude really proved his point. What an asshole. Of course it was all about money. Principles get thrown out of the window when they slap $200 million dollars in your face, so just save it Rodgers. Go get vaccinated maybe.  I'm extremely bitter but not surprised in the slightest. Did you really think Rodgers was going to miss out on further opportunities to smoke my Bears twice a year? Absolutely not, this was his plan all along. Create a soap opera of division within the team and organization to stronghold them for the most money possible. ...
