Rob Manfred Is TRASH

The relationship between Rob Manfred, Fans, and Team Owners is something that has been talked about a lot lately. This is a direct result of the lockout between the MLB and the MLBPA going into the 2022 season. As an avid baseball fan, I cannot remember how often lockouts have been with other commissioners. Maybe it was something I didn't pay attention to in the past, but under Manfred's leadership it seems to be happening quite often. This shows that there are consistent issues between the MLB and the MLBPA. Personally, I think that Manfred just doesn't care and is a "my way or the highway" kind of guy. Which is interesting, because his predecessor Bud Selig seemed to have a good relationship with the league. I understand that the job of the commissioner is a job without a lot of love, but you need to be able to work with both sides. Manfred seems like the type of guy that looks at something and goes "fuck that" and throws it in the trash. We as fans can all sense this as well, is this guy working to make baseball better or worse? As of now, he is the Roger Goodell of baseball and he is going to continue down this path of hate.

After 99 days the lockout is finally over, and this turbulent time for fans is finally over. Again, why did we have to go through this shit? We as fans do not deserve to be treated this way by the leader of the league and his time is just going to get worse and worse. Two things that I did like as a result of the lock out is that younger players will have the opportunity to be paid more. This gives guys in the lower ranks of baseball to have the opportunity to get paid a little bit more. I think this is a good direction of keeping players longer at the lower levels, while also assisting in gaining more experience to get a shot at the Show. Also, teams are able to advertise more on their jerseys and helmets. I have always found it interesting that baseball has kept advertisement off of jerseys and helmets. This gives teams the opportunity to have a little bit more money in the pocket, and could help teams acquire better players. Yes, I understand that this is a long shot but hey it could help... These amongst the other items were agreed upon with the lockout and I am glad its over.

After almost 100 days, I can finally stop hearing about the issues between MLB and the MLBPA and finally prepare myself for a baseball season. Manfred almost took games away from us fans and again that is why he is trash. He does not care about fans or players, honestly I don't know what he cares about but to me it's not baseball. Again, this is more of a venting sesh on how much I don't like the guy, but I'm not the only one out there.
