What is the ultimate F-U in the historic rivalry between Duke and UNC college basketball? Beating Coach K in his final game AT DUKE takes the cake. Holy cow was the stage set. Duke as the #4 team in the country opened up as 11 point favorites over their inner city rival North Carolina. The stage was set. Coach K is going to deliver one final win over North Carolina and ride off into the sunset. 96 of his former players came to see the game firsthand, most expensive ticket in college basketball history, and all of it to crumble under the pressure and hand North Carolina maybe the greatest win in program history. A timeless win.

It was an absolute thing of beauty. I actually like Coach K to a degree but the whole production of thinking that they would walk in UNC and they would bow at Coach K's feet was so asinine. Honestly how dare you. Duke fans quite possibly experienced the most humbling moment in the history of sports and the emotion that poured out in the postgame was laugh out loud funny. Students at Duke literally in tears and holding one another as if they experienced some unimaginable tragedy. Get a grip will ya? You're a junior in college alright, let's not act like you've been with Coach K since he was hired in 1902. Things are going to be okay and you have an exam Monday morning.

What makes it so funny is that Duke was literally partying all day ready to dance on North Carolina's grave. Spent enormous amounts of money on this once in a lifetime experience and it was! It just happened to be one of the saddest life experiences ever if you were a Duke fan. Drunk tears everywhere, just pure carnage. And to top it off Coach K snapping at the crowd in the postgame ceremony just cemented how wrong this day had gone.

This. Is. March.
