With Aaron Rodgers expected to return to Green Bay while giving the Packers more cap room, the team now can make another run at trying to sign WR Davante Adams to an extension, per sources.

If Packers’ officials sign off on their willingness to trade Aaron Rodgers, and the agreement is finalized soon, here’s the biggest concession the reigning MVP will receive: the freedom to decide where he wants to play in 2022.

The Bears are going 0-3 versus the Packers this year and this is the first L. It’s my fault really, I allowed myself to think the snake Packers couldn’t slither their way out of this one. They had gone too far with Rodgers and we’re going to be forced to trade him away; a stain so thick the Packers organization would have never lived it down. How beautiful that painting looked. But no, just like when the Bears are up 4 with a minute left, it’s 4th and 34, and Rodgers finds a wide open receiver to win the game, the Packers found a way to bring him back. Damn. I could’ve really used a year off from this dude I gotta tell ya. But whipping the Bears ass year in and year out was probably something he didn’t want to pass up on. And good for Aaron, he played hardball and made the organization adhere to his terms, which apparently are to let him be a free agent after this season. But I know what this is setting up for, I know the type of guy Rodgers is. He got his way, proved his point, so now after this year goes by he’s going to re-sign with Green Bay and play the hero card. It’s so sickening. Amazing day for football fans, tragic day for Bears fans. But at least with Rodgers coming back I can lessen my expectations to the appropriate level and focus purely on the replacing of Head Coach Matt Nagy and GM Ryan Pace. So for that, thank you Aaron.
