Finally A Reason To Stop By Dyersville, Iowa

Today the New York Yankees and Chicago White Sox will face off in the "Field of Dreams" located in Dyersville, IA. If you're unfamiliar with the classic Kevin Costner flick then click the link above and get some education. But basically, this is epic. The MLB absolutely crushed this once in a lifetime game setup and built a baseball field deep in the cornfields of Iowa, just like in the movie. The venue itself is so damn awesome because who knows where the hell Dyersville, IA, is number one and also the fact that the field was made from scratch is phenomenal. 

As a player, this has to be the coolest place you can ever play a professional baseball game. To have a day where you're playing on this historical field, in the middle of nowhere, and take in that moment makes you feel like a kid playing with his friends again. I love that the MLB has started to put on these types of games (Williamsport, London) where they don't normally play and create these moments. I assume the White Sox and Yankees were selected for their historical value and best believe those old school uni's are going to be SICK. That's about it from me, I wish the Padres or Cubs were playing but I'm so excited to watch this game and watch the ball disappear into the corn for a home run.

The Padres Mess
