Padres Trade For Adam Frazier and Mad Scientist AJ Preller is Back At It Again
After the Padres got embarrassed 9-3 today to split the series with the Marlins, I’ll be honest I was upset. Turned off the game, started to do other things. But about 3 hours later I get the notification on my phone that the greatest chess player in the history of GM’s AJ Preller is back on his bullshit baby. Making moves and giving up nothing in return. In short, the Padres traded for All-Star 2B/OF Adam Frazier from the Pirates for 3 Prospects, nobody from the Padres major league roster was included in the deal or any of our top prospects (minus Tucu) which is unreal.

We can figure out the logistics of moving guys around later, but the Padres got an All-Star who is leading the league in hits and is batting .327. The best part about this move isn't the instant impact Frazier is going to have in this lineup or making the Padres a stronger threat to win the NL West. No, it's the fact that AJ Preller watched the same game I did and said this absolutely not going to work and immediately gets on the horn with the Pittsburgh Pirates to grab their best player. What more can you want in a GM than that? It's incredible, he's just a guy who gets shit done and asks questions later. With Frazier now in the picture the Padres infield becomes stocked with All-Stars everywhere.

Every feeling of disappointment I had for today’s games result completely went away. Not because Adam Frazier makes the Padres the World Series favorites but because without a doubt…..Preller isn’t even close to done. He’s not going to sleep once this week and don’t be surprised when the Padres land SP Max Scherzer at 4:07 A.M. EST on Friday for a host of prospects that maybe 1 guy pans out. We are who the god damn Yankees used to be, we control the weather, and Preller will do whatever it takes to get this team over the top.

It’s shit like this that gets me going. WTF? He’s contemplating putting a former all-star shortstop in center field…. And I’m all in. It doesn’t even need to make sense to me anymore, whatever Preller decides is right I am following blindly. BLINDLY! I am officially at the head of defending this man to the end of time and whatever he says goes damnit.
